skerries in infrared

It’s not that often you head out during noon to take photos with a tripod under your arm. The sun was directly overhead but it was perfect weather for some infrared shots. This was taken just beside the car park for Skerries Mill. There is a gorgeous pond at the entrance and I thought it framed the Churches in the background really well.

The shot was taken with my Nikon D50 and a Hoya R72 filter. I have found it a good idea to take a white balance preset from the grass before taking your shots. It makes processing in photoshop so much easier. The RAW image was converted to a TIFF then just follow the tutorial on PBase to add colour back to your photo.
